Meet Your Hosts

Joe, Misty, Joey, Daniel and Amber are your hosts at Misty Morning Cottages (formerly Sundown Cabins) in Rockwood, Maine Joe has vacationed in Rockwood, Spencer Bay and Beaver Cove for almost two decades. He grew up fishing with his grandfather and dad, and has fished many of Maine’s great lakes and the offshore Atlantic.  He is the captain of the F/V November Gale, a commercial diver, 1st class Naval welder and moreover, father of Joseph, Daniel and Amber. Misty is Joe’s helpmeet, blessed to be Daniel and Amber’s mom and is the founder of Year Round Homeschooling. Misty loves to write, read, listen to music and dabbles in photography in her “spare time”.

      Hi Frank! No worries at all! Sorry for the delay in this response, we went on a 3 week vacation in October and are just getting back into the swing of things at the cottages.     This was our first time to Misty Morning Cottages. We had a wonderful weekend, very cozy cottage with pellet stove! The view is amazing! Very nice to have met you both! Joe and Misty, thanks for a wonderful weekend and see you on our next trip!
